i have applyed for a job as prison guard. 4 years ago i was arrested for having a small amount of pot. i havent been in trouble since then . i have joined the national guard and doing well in my life ..will i be disqualifed for the job? .

   I guess only if they find out. I guess it would be questionable character. They just might not hire you.

   I doubt it they might just look over it you have been doing good and you were in the national guard that might make your chances better

   my brother wants to be a cop and was told by one of the poliece men in our town that he has a better chance of getting the job if he were to serve 4 years in the coast guard or navy or something simmilar they will always hire someone with more experiance then someone with no ecperiance.

   you probably won’t get it if its on your record but it might depend on how old you were at the time they will consider that and the fact you have improved your life you might get lucky
