I know that if things keep on the path that they are, everyone will be affected. Is he right? He says that since he is in a union and it is a state job, he will never be affected. Since it has to do with money, couldn’t he still be at risk with everyone else?

The pay for the customer service job is 11 an hour, the pay for the corrections officer job is 31,000 in Wyoming. I heard the cost of living is kind of high there. What’s better?

I’ve got a BA in psychology and have 4 years experience working at a detention center and 2 years working as a teacher’s aide in a Special Ed school.
I’m curious as to what type of work those experiences could help me get.

My husband is a prison guard, wants to change jobs. What are his options?
Filed Under Other - Careers Employment | Leave a Comment
My husband has been working in corrections for the last 5 years. Before that he was a cook for 5 years. Before that various unskilled labor.
He has a high school diploma. Going back to school is out.
He needs to make at least $16/hr. minimum.
What are his career options? What jobs pay decent, without sales, for high school grads w/o college?
He’s burned out on security and cooking. He wants a manufacturing or production job or anything. We don’t know, that’s why we’re asking.
